Behind the Seams: The Making of the Bareskin Binder

At FLAVNT Streetwear, we're proud to offer our signature Bareskin Binders. These aren't just any binders – they're the result of years of research, development, and a commitment to serving our community with the best possible product. Let's take a closer look at what makes our binders special.

The FLAVNT Difference

Our Bareskin Binders are designed with both style and function in mind. But most importantly, inclusion. We understand that binding is an essential part of many people's lives, and we wanted to create a product that not only works effectively but also feels good to wear for every member of our community.

Materials Matter

We use a unique blend of nylon and spandex for our binders. This combination offers several benefits:

  • Breathability: The fabric allows your skin to breathe, reducing discomfort and the risk of skin irritation.
  • Flexibility: The spandex provides stretch, allowing for easier movement throughout your day.
  • Durability: Our materials are chosen for their ability to withstand regular use and washing.

Design Features

Our binders aren't just about the materials – the design is equally important:

  • Range of nude colors: This idea revolutionized the binder industry. Once we introduced a range of inclusive nude shades for our binders, our competitors followed suit.
  • Non-stretch liner: Our inner lining has zero-stretch, which is the flattening component to our binder.
  • Racerback: We pioneered the first racerback binder, enhancing comfort for all-day wear.
  • Reinforced Seams: This feature adds to the durability of the binder.

Color Options

We offer our BareSkin Binders in seven colors ranging from light to dark:

  • Birch: Our white binder, the lightest option to go under your white tees.
  • Bone: The lightest nude we offer, this shade has a yellow undertone.
  • Rose: Our most popular shade - a light aptly named rosy color.
  • Sand: A neutral tone that works well under lighter colored clothing.
  • Oak: A nice mid-colored option between Sand and Umber.
  • Umber: Our current darkest skin-tone option, it is a deep, rich brown.
  • Onyx: A deep, rich black that goes with everything.

Sizing and Fit

We understand that finding the right size binder is crucial. That's why we offer sizes from XXS to 4XL, ensuring that we can cater to a wide range of body types. We also provide detailed sizing information to help you find your perfect fit. We are constantly working to expand our size offerings.

Our Commitment

At FLAVNT, we're committed to continually improving our products. We value feedback from our community and use it to refine and enhance our binders. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and effective binding option for all who need it. Because of that, we switched manufacturers for the third time in the past 8 years to a new company here in Austin. Our new manufacturing partner specializes in activewear and we believe will bring us our highest quality product yet.

Our Bareskin Binders are more than just a product – they're a reflection of our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. We pour our hearts into creating binders that help you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin. Thank you for choosing FLAVNT, and for allowing us to be a part of your journey.

Model Call

We will be holding a photoshoot here in Austin, TX in September and will be looking for trans and gender nonconforming models to model our binders. The shoot will more than likely take place on a weekend and models will receive a complimentary binder and professional photos in exchange for modeling our products. Please sign up for our newsletter and follow along on social media for updates/to apply!

Restock Update

As mentioned, we have switched manufacturers and are underway with a restock. Fabrics have been ordered and we have been given a timeline of early October for having all of our new binders in hand! Please keep an eye on our newsletter and social media for more updates.
